Arsenal ready to pay over £100m for Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers

Arsenal are preparing to make an approach for Aston Villa and England midfielder Morgan Rogers, with the 23-year-old expected to cost more than £100m. According to Sky Sports, the Premier League champions have made Rogers their top attacking target this summer as they look to bolster the squad that won the title in May.

The news comes as Arsenal have already agreed personal terms with Christos Tzolis, with the move reportedly confirmed. The Gunners are pressing on with multiple deals after also signing Illan Meslier, according to the Standard.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah is set to continue his career in Turkey. The 34-year-old Egypt forward, who left Liverpool this summer, is expected to sign for Besiktas, according to Foot Mercato. His move follows Leandro Trossard’s switch to the same club earlier in the window.

Manchester United have opened talks with the representatives of Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Larsson, a 22-year-old Sweden midfielder. The Red Devils, who have already added Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans to their midfield, are also interested in Nottingham Forest wing-back Neco Williams, the 25-year-old Wales international who can play on either flank, according to Football Insider.

Tottenham have rejected a £46m bid from Newcastle United for 20-year-old Sweden midfielder Lucas Bergvall, as reported by the Athletic. Spurs’ summer spending spree could force exits, with Argentina defender Cristian Romero likely to leave, according to Team Talk.

Chelsea will need to pay £55m if they want Crystal Palace and France defender Maxence Lacroix, according to the Times. The Blues are also bracing for a third offer from Como for Trevoh Chalobah, after turning down two bids from the Serie A side, per Gazzetta dello Sport.

Juventus have offered Aston Villa £5.5m for goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, but Villa want £10.2m. Villa are also interested in Bayern Munich’s Joao Palhinha, who is no longer part of Vincent Kompany’s plans.

With the summer window in full swing, the question remains: can Arsenal land their £100m target, or will Villa hold firm?
