UK News Today is committed to accuracy. When we make a mistake, we correct it promptly and transparently. This page explains how we handle corrections, clarifications and updates.
Our Standards
Every article published by UK News Today is checked against source material before publication. We do not publish claims that cannot be traced to a named, credible source. Despite these precautions, errors can occur — particularly in fast-moving news situations where facts are still emerging.
Types of Corrections
Factual corrections — Where a published fact is demonstrably wrong (a wrong name, figure, date or misattributed quote), we correct the article and add a note at the bottom stating what was changed and when.
Clarifications — Where an article is technically accurate but potentially misleading, we update the text and add a clarification note.
Updates — Where new developments make a published article incomplete or outdated, we update the article and note the update date at the top.
How to Request a Correction
If you believe we have published an error, please email editorial@uknewstoday.co.uk with:
— The title or URL of the article
— The specific claim you believe is incorrect
— Evidence or sources supporting the correction
We aim to review all correction requests within 48 hours and to publish corrections within 24 hours of verification.
What We Do Not Do
We do not delete articles simply because the subject of a story requests removal. Corrections are made where there is a factual error — not to satisfy reputation management requests. We do not alter the substance of published articles without noting the change.
