BBC Sport sets up Scotland-focused World Cup coverage as TV punditry battle takes shape

Scotland are back at a men's World Cup for the first time since 1998, and BBC Sport is making it easier than ever for fans to follow the national team's campaign. The broadcaster has responded to feedback by allowing users to place Scottish football news front and centre on both its website and app throughout the tournament.

On the website, fans signed in with a Scottish postcode will see additional Scottish stories on the front page. In the BBC Sport app, a few taps on a phone can put Scottish football news at the very top of the page. Users are prompted to sign in or create an account, then go to the My Sport tab to follow topics such as Scotland Sport, Scotland Men's Football Team and Scottish Football. Those already signed in can edit their settings to receive extra Scottish content automatically.

The changes come as the World Cup TV line-up takes shape, with both BBC and ITV set to show all 104 games. Former England and Scotland players will be on screen as pundits for the two channels, adding to the excitement around a tournament that marks Scotland's long-awaited return to the global stage.
