Beckham and Gallagher lead celebrations as Bellingham fires England to World Cup semi-final

Jude Bellingham struck three minutes into extra time to send England into the World Cup semi-finals, slamming home a rebound from Norway goalkeeper Orjan Nyland’s spill after a tense 1-1 draw in 90 minutes. The win in Miami puts the Three Lions into their second semi-final in three World Cups, where they will face Argentina on Wednesday 15 July at the Atlanta Stadium, kick-off 8pm BST.

But England manager Thomas Tuchel was far from satisfied, describing his side as “lucky” in a heated post-match interview. “Norway played really well we were lucky in some ways,” said singer Billy Idol, who admitted he was “on the edge of my seat” until Bellingham came to the rescue.
