Ben Shephard stripped off to promote his new skincare range — and left This Morning fans in hysterics over a name that sounds rather cheeky.
The 51-year-old presenter took to Instagram with a ‘get ready with me’ video, his torso bare except for a towel wrapped around his waist. “Spend the day with me,” he said at the start. “First thing is first, attempt to wake up my face. I then brush my teeth and get on some deodorant, which everybody is going to appreciate quite frankly.”
“Ben Shephard’s shirtless skincare promo backfires as fans mock the brand name ‘For Skin’.”
He then picked up a bottle of For Skin, the brand he co‑founded with fellow presenter Joel Dommett, 41, and rubbed it all over his face. “A quick wash with our For Skin cleanser, which if I say so myself, I am absolutely loving,” he continued. “I follow this up with a cheeky little bit of For Skin moisturiser to keep my face smooth and glowing for work. Nothing complicated which is exactly how we like it.”
After getting dressed, he hopped on a motorbike, headed to the This Morning studio, completed his presenting duties and went home. He captioned the post: “Get ready with me as I head into work. We’ve been developing our @forskinofficial cleanser and moisturizers which, and we are biased obvs, is blooming glorious… Then it’s off to work we go!!”
But fans couldn’t resist pointing out the double entendre. One commented: “For skin?? You sure.” Another wrote: “‘I wake up and rub forskin on my face’ – is all I’ll ever hear when I see Ben now.” A third added: “You were brave calling it your forskin cleanser.”
Shephard and Dommett first revealed they were working on a skincare brand in 2024, asking fans to vote on the name. Their product launched in January this year — and judging by the reaction, it’s got people talking for all the wrong reasons.
[Interpretive framing: For a presenter known for his wholesome, family-friendly image, the accidental innuendo may prove a tricky brand hurdle.]
