Bradley Barcola has agreed in principle to join Liverpool after holding positive talks with manager Andoni Iraola, according to reports in France. The 23-year-old Paris Saint-Germain winger, valued at a staggering £145million, has given his approval to the move, but the two clubs remain far apart in their valuations.
Liverpool boss Iraola recently confirmed the club are actively seeking a winger. “When the market is open, you have to be always open to new options to improve the squad,” he told a press conference last week. “Winger for example, we definitely need to sign a winger, but there are other situations where we will have to analyse what the market gives you, what is the cost, how we also see the players we have.”

Barcola, who joined PSG from Lyon for around £38m in 2023, has scored 39 goals and provided 35 assists in 152 appearances for the French club, helping them win back-to-back Champions Leagues. During the World Cup, where he was in and out of France’s starting XI, he admitted uncertainty about his future: “I’m focused on the World Cup. What happens after that, I don’t know.”
Premier League rivals Arsenal have decided not to pursue Barcola, instead prioritising a stunning move for Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior. That leaves Liverpool as the primary suitor, but PSG’s £145m price tag represents a significant obstacle. Iraola also highlighted other areas of need, saying: “With the centre-back, with the right-back situation, in terms of defensive depth, we are, I think, very thin right now so I think it’s a solution that we are trying to find.”
Liverpool are currently on a pre-season tour in the United States, having beaten Sunderland 4-2 in their first friendly. Whether they will meet PSG’s demands for Barcola remains to be seen, but the player’s willingness to move gives the Reds a crucial advantage in what promises to be a blockbuster transfer.
