Chelsea fans are calling Cole Palmer a “super agent” after Morgan Rogers revealed the 24-year-old bombarded him with texts and phone calls to seal the British record £117million transfer from Aston Villa.
Rogers, 23, becomes the most expensive signing in British football history, but what swung the deal – according to the England World Cup star – was the relentless persuasion of his former Manchester City academy teammate Palmer.

Palmer, who Rogers also claims is the creator of his “ice cold” celebration, has been reunited with a player he first met at England youth level when both were 14. “We’ve been speaking about this for a while; we always would love to have played together,” Rogers added. “So, for it to happen, we’re both excited.”
