England midfielder Declan Rice and defenders Marc Guehi and Reece James all took part in training on the eve of Saturday's World Cup quarter-final against Norway, easing fitness concerns for head coach Thomas Tuchel. Rice had been suffering with a neural issue affecting his hamstring and lower back, exacerbated by a sickness bug, while Guehi complained of a slight hamstring injury after England's 3-2 last-16 win over Mexico. James, who has missed three games, returned to training as expected on Thursday and featured again on Friday, putting him in contention for the match at Miami Stadium. Jordan Henderson is the only squad player who missed out after having surgery on a broken arm. Former England captain Sir David Beckham watched the session at Fort Lauderdale, speaking to captain Harry Kane, and the trio's return is a welcome boost for Tuchel, especially at right-back where Jarell Quansah is suspended for two games after his red card against Mexico and Tino Livramento is injured. "With the heat and everything and having to change positions, going to right wing-back with a man down, it's not easy," Konsa told BBC Sport about filling in at right-back after Quansah's dismissal. The quarter-final kicks off at 10pm on Saturday, July 11, and will be shown live on ITV, with coverage starting at 8.45pm. England's dramatic win over Mexico peaked at 9.1 million viewers on the BBC, and with a more socially acceptable kick-off time, the live audience for the Norway game could double that figure.
