An online clip showing two England Under-16 players brawling in a hotel room has prompted the Football Association to confirm the incident was an “internal matter” that was “quickly resolved”.
The minute-long footage, filmed during a camp in late-2025, captures one boy wearing official England kit grabbing a phone from a teammate lying on a bed. What follows is a violent scuffle — punches, kicks, grappling — as the boy in the kit attempts a headlock, drags his opponent around the room and throws him to the floor. Several other players film and encourage the fight.

The FA said the issue has been settled and no further action will be taken. A spokesperson told the BBC: “We were made aware of an internal matter during an Under-16s camp in October 2025. This was quickly resolved at the time.”
The altercation took place while the squad were based in Sedi, Turkey. During October and November 2025, the Under-16s faced Turkey, Wales and Portugal.
