Hyperoptic revenue surges 22% as altnet hits 2m homes — Vodafone faces UK court case

UK altnet Hyperoptic has reported a 22% year-on-year revenue increase to £139m, after its network passed the 2m-home milestone. The company, a strong player in the new-build homes sector, added 18% more customers in 2025, taking its subscriber base to over 440,000. Hyperoptic says it will now focus on accelerating customer acquisition and increasing penetration across its existing fibre footprint to grow market share.

Meanwhile, Vodafone is offering customers from other networks a free trial of its service at seven upcoming summer festivals. The mobile operator also faces a UK court case over its use of 4G technology that allows emergency calls access to the mobile network.
