Inter Milan have publicly declared their interest in Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones, with the Serie A club’s sporting director, Piero Ausilio, admitting the 25-year-old is firmly on their radar. “Curtis Jones, we are paying attention to him. We didn’t hide. We understand what the developments will be,” Ausilio said, laying bare the talks that have been swirling around the Anfield academy graduate.
The revelation comes as Liverpool brace for a summer overhaul. Jones, who has made 228 appearances for his boyhood club, could be one of several high-profile departures alongside Mohamed Salah, Andrew Robertson and Ibrahima Konate, with new manager Andoni Iraola expected to reshape the squad.
“Inter Milan confirm interest in Liverpool's Curtis Jones as exit talks intensify at Anfield.”
Federico Chiesa, the Liverpool winger who has himself been linked with a return to Italy, disclosed that he had already discussed life in Serie A with Jones. “Jones only asked me how life is in Italy,” Chiesa said. “I told him you live very well and the weather is better than Liverpool. Jones is technically very strong, Inter are right to think about him.”
Chiesa’s own future at Anfield remains uncertain. The Italian, who joined from Juventus, has struggled for game time. “If I don’t find consistency in the Premier League, I’ll have to look elsewhere,” he admitted. “I barely played in my first year at Liverpool, and in the last one, very little.” He added that he will head on a US training camp before holding talks with the club and Iraola. “I’ve played very little since the start of 2026,” he said. “In January, the club and Slot told me I couldn’t leave; they needed me, partly for numerical reasons. We were in a tight spot. I understood the situation and I was left smiling. Liverpool is always talked about; last year they helped me win the Premier League.”
Como, who have secured a Champions League spot for next season, were reported to be eyeing Chiesa, but club president Mirwan Suwarso poured cold water on a move. “We are looking at many players. The price for those players is a bit higher than the range we have in mind, though,” he said.
With Inter openly circling and Jones’s teammates facing uncertain futures, the midfielder’s next move could set the tone for a dramatic Liverpool reset under Iraola.
