Manchester United set sights on Summerville as Rashford speculation grows

Manchester United are preparing to move for West Ham winger Crysencio Summerville should Marcus Rashford leave this summer, with the 24-year-old Netherlands international valued at around £30m. The Guardian reports that United will target Summerville if Rashford departs, though no formal bid has been made. Meanwhile, Arsenal are readying an offer of about £34m for RB Leipzig’s Antonio Nusa, the 21-year-old Norway winger, according to Caughtoffside. The Gunners have been tracking Nusa for months and see him as a long-term investment.

Everton are considering a move for Manchester City right-back Rico Lewis, with Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth and Fulham also monitoring the 21-year-old Englishman, per Teamtalk. The Toffees are in need of defensive reinforcements after a difficult season, and Lewis’s versatility appeals to manager Sean Dyche. Manchester City themselves are active in the market: they have told Lille’s Ayyoub Bouaddi, an 18-year-old Morocco midfielder, that they intend to integrate him into the first team immediately rather than loan him back, according to Teamtalk. City are also tracking Paris St-Germain’s Senegal forward Ibrahim Mbaye, 18, after interest from Aston Villa and Tottenham, reports FootMercato.

Elsewhere, Sunderland are lining up a move for 19-year-old French defender Dayann Methalie from Toulouse, per Football Insider. Hull City expect to finalise a deal this week for Swedish winger Elliot Stroud, 24, from Mjallby for £3m, and are also hopeful of completing the signing of Olympiacos and Greece goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis, 23, reports Sky Sports. The Championship club are rebuilding under new ownership and see Stroud as a creative spark.

The flurry of transfer rumours suggests a busy summer ahead, with Premier League clubs scouring Europe for talent before the window closes. Whether Manchester United can secure Summerville without first selling Rashford remains the key question.
