Real Madrid are open to selling France midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni to Manchester United, according to reports. The 26-year-old defensive midfielder is one of several options being considered by United as they aim to strengthen their midfield this summer. AS Roma’s Manu Kone, Brighton’s Carlos Baleba and Bournemouth’s Tyler Adams – valued at about £35m – are also on the club’s radar.
Arsenal, meanwhile, have turned their attention to England duo John Stones and Ezri Konsa after an injury to France defender William Saliba, who is sidelined with a back problem. The Gunners have already signed Greece international Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge for £34m on a five-year deal, and have agreed personal terms with Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes. A £70m bid is expected, though Newcastle are adamant they do not want to sell their captain.

Chelsea completed the biggest deal of the summer so far, paying £117m to sign England star Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa. The Blues are also favourites to sign 18-year-old Bosnia-Herzegovina midfielder Kerim Alajbegovic from Bayer Leverkusen, and have agreed a deal to bring 15-year-old American winger Benji Flowers from FC Dallas when he turns 18. Alejandro Garnacho has joined Aston Villa on loan.
Liverpool, under new head coach Andoni Iraola, are leading the race to sign Bradley Barcola, according to reports, and made an approach for Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche. The Reds face a crucial summer amid takeover talks.
Celtic striker Daizen Maeda, 28, will undergo a medical on Friday to complete his £10m move to Ipswich Town. Leeds winger Jack Harrison is closing in on a move to MLS side New England Revolution, while Everton are keen on Celtic’s Alistair Johnston.
The Premier League season kicks off on 21 August with Arsenal hosting Coventry – the first top-flight campaign for the Sky Blues in 25 years.
