Scarlett Moffatt suffers double family tragedy as grandad dies days after fiancé's mother

Scarlett Moffatt has announced the death of her grandfather, just days after her fiancé Scott Dobinson’s mother Janice died, leaving the family reeling from a second devastating loss. The I’m A Celebrity star and former Gogglebox favourite revealed the news to fans, saying: “Unfortunately, more sad news for our family this week. My grandad Moffatt has sadly passed away.” The latest tragedy compounds the heartbreak of Janice’s death earlier this week. Scarlett, who is pregnant with her second child, had paid an emotional tribute to her mother-in-law on Instagram, writing: “My heart is broken for Scott and all of his family at the loss of his mam Janice. You were the best Nanna to Jude, the kindest mother-in-law and one of the loveliest people I’ve ever known.” She added: “I’m so upset that you won’t get to meet your second grandson but I know you will be watching over us all.” Scarlett and Scott have been together since 2018 and are already parents to son Jude. In April they announced they were expecting another baby. In her message about her grandad, Scarlett thanked supporters: “Me, Scott and all our family really appreciate all of the love and kindness you’ve shown us following the loss of Janice and now my grandad.
