A former Strictly Come Dancing contestant has revealed she is recovering from brain tumour surgery, posting images of herself with metal plates and screws in her head. Trishna Bharadia, who appeared on the 2015 special The People's Strictly For Comic Relief, said in an Instagram post on Thursday: 'So the universe thought that multiple sclerosis wasn't enough for my brain to contend with and two months ago I had surgery for a type of brain tumour.' The 28-year-old health advocate, who danced with professional Aljaz Skorjanec, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2008. She described herself as a 'bionic woman' after the operation, adding: 'I can absolutely say I’m a bionic woman now as I have metal plates and screws in my head!' Bharadia thanked hospital staff, calling the nurses 'angels in scrubs', and gave a special mention to her twin sister who stayed by her side. 'Recovery is a marathon, not a sprint, but I’m getting there,' she wrote, directing followers to the Brain Tumour Charity. Supporters flooded the comments with well-wishes, calling her a 'warrior'.
