Three men are due in court this week accused of raping 10 teenage girls in Bury between 1996 and 2003, in a case described by Greater Manchester Police as "a complex and sensitive investigation".
Ashfaq Khan, 46, from Bury, faces 36 counts including rape, attempted rape, indecent assault and false imprisonment. Zaheer Iqbal, 52, of Accrington, Lancashire, has been charged with four counts of rape and two of false imprisonment. Qamar Jehangeer, 38, from Bolton, is accused of four counts of rape.

The charges follow Operation Sky, the police probe into the alleged offences involving girls aged between 12 and 16. The suspects, all British Pakistanis, are due to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
"Officers are working with trauma-informed support services to safeguard and support all those that have been affected," the force said. "They continue to work at length to ensure their safety and well-being is the number one priority."
