Tottenham have entered the chase for Crystal Palace's 22-year-old England midfielder Adam Wharton, with a bid expected imminently, according to Teamtalk. The north London club are the latest to register interest in a player who has emerged as one of the Premier League's most sought-after young talents.
But Tottenham are not alone in their recruitment drive. Liverpool, meanwhile, find themselves locked in a standoff with RB Leipzig over 19-year-old Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande. The German club have turned down an offer of £87m from Liverpool — they want £113m, the Liverpool Echo reports.

Fulham have also hit a wall in their pursuit of reinforcements. The Cottagers saw a £17m bid for 22-year-old Nigeria defender Chibuike Nwaiwu rejected by Turkish side Trabzonspor, according to Fotomac.
Bayern Munich, meanwhile, are attempting to fend off interest from Real Madrid and Liverpool by offering 24-year-old France winger Michael Olise a lucrative new contract, the Mirror reports. The Bundesliga champions appear determined to keep the former Crystal Palace star.
Tottenham are not planning to make a move for 24-year-old Marseille striker Mason Greenwood, and Roma are currently short of the asking price, the Mail reports. Instead, Spurs are among a trio of clubs — alongside Everton and newly promoted Ipswich — tracking 22-year-old Cameroon forward Karl Etta Eyong from Levante, Teamtalk reports.
Celtic turned down a £25m bid from Nottingham Forest in January for 22-year-old Belgium midfielder Arne Engels but are open to offers, with Crystal Palace and Borussia Dortmund also interested, according to Football Insider.
