Shoppers are being warned not to consume two products after the Food Standards Agency issued urgent recalls over contamination fears. Graham's Family Dairy semi-skimmed milk sold in 1 litre, 2 litre and 1 pint bottles with a use-by date of July 31, 2026, may contain traces of veterinary medicines including penicillin. The recall, affecting England only, comes after the FSA said the antibiotics could pose a health risk to anyone with an allergy. “If you have bought the above product, do not consume it,” the FSA advised. “Instead, return it to where you bought it from for a full refund.” Graham’s Family Dairy, Scotland’s largest independent dairy company, apologised, saying: “We believe that the quality of our products and the safety of our consumers is paramount.” The company stressed no other products or use-by dates are affected.
Meanwhile, Waitrose has recalled its Waitrose & Partners 8 Chocolate Chip Brioche Rolls after possible contamination with hard plastic and metal. The recall covers packs with batch code B26177 and a best-before date of July 26, 2026. Point-of-sale notices have been displayed in stores. A FSA spokesman said: “If you have bought the product do not eat it. Instead, return it to your nearest Waitrose & Partners branch for a full refund.” Customers can also call Waitrose customer care on 0800 188 884 Option 4 for further information. The FSA said the product is unsafe to eat and urged consumers to take action immediately.
