Aldi will launch its school uniform sale on June 28, with items starting at £1.50. The budget supermarket is bringing back its popular £5 uniform bundle, available in sizes ages four to 12. The bundle includes a choice of two polo shirts (boys’ or girls’, white or blue) at £1.75 each, a sweatshirt or cardigan at £1.50, trousers or a pleated skirt or cargo shorts at £1.75. The bundle comes with a 12-month satisfaction guarantee, according to Aldi: “So parents can rest easy knowing the uniform is made to last and will get their kids through the year.” Also available are footwear from £7.99 with memory foam insoles, a five-pack of socks for £2.49, and new Back to School Hair Accessories at £1.99. Shoppers must be quick as stocks are limited, and online ordering is not possible. The average school uniform costs families around £340 for primary and £454 for secondary school each year. From September, new legislation will require schools to limit branded items to three (excluding ties), which could save parents up to £50 per child.
While families prepare for the new school year, others are already looking ahead to winter holidays. Crystal Ski is offering up to £200 off selected holidays, with the deal of the week updated every Wednesday. One current offer gives £200 off a seven-night ski holiday in La Plagne, France, departing 2 January 2027, staying at Hotel Club MMV Plagne 2000, which sits on a blue run and includes half-board catering with free wine. Group bookings of six or more may qualify for reduced rates, and budget-friendly deals are available for under £700 per person on pre-selected dates. Families can get one free child place for every two paying adults at selected resorts. Crystal Ski also offers free amendments up to 12 weeks before departure. All discount codes are manually tested by The Independent’s in-house team.
