Anne Hathaway is expecting her third child. The 43-year-old Devil Wears Prada star revealed the news on Friday with a sweet Instagram video that showed her baby bump for the first time.
Walking into frame in a matching white skirt and blouse set, Hathaway rested her arms on her belly, then removed them to reveal the bump. She hugged it, smiled, and ran off camera as Barbara Lewis’s “Baby I’m Yours” played. Her caption simply read: “x Baby, I’m yours x.”

Fans flocked to the post, which racked up half a million likes in the first half an hour.
Hathaway already has two sons with her husband, actor Adam Shulman: Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman, born in March 2016, and Jack Shulman, born in November 2019.
The announcement comes after a “complicated” journey to motherhood. In a March 2024 interview with Vanity Fair, Hathaway opened up about suffering a miscarriage in 2015 while performing on stage. She was acting in a play and had to give birth on stage every night. Her first pregnancy, she said, “didn’t work out”.
“It was too much to keep it in when I was onstage pretending everything was fine,” she told Vanity Fair. “So when it did go well for me, having been on the other side of it – where you have to have the grace to be happy for someone – I wanted to let my sisters know, ‘You don’t have to always be graceful. I see you and I’ve been you’.”
Hathaway’s pregnancy reveal comes weeks after she stepped out for a London premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2, the sequel to the 2006 film, on April 22. She wore a black strapless dress with large cut-out sections. The film was released on May 1.
The actress has a busy year ahead. Her film Mother Mary came out on April 17. The Odyssey is due on July 17, followed by The End of Oak Street on August 14 and Verity, based on Colleen Hoover’s novel, on October 2.
Hathaway and Shulman have not yet commented on the baby’s due date.
