Arsenal’s opening bid for Leicester City winger Jeremy Monga has been rejected, with the 19-year-old England Under-19 international a long-term target for the Gunners this summer. The Independent reports that Arsenal are also preparing a bid for Paris St-Germain’s Bradley Barcola, the 23-year-old France winger who scored in Les Bleus’ 3-1 World Cup win over Senegal. Mikel Arteta’s side face competition from Liverpool, but have made the first move for Barcola.
Liverpool, meanwhile, have already completed the permanent signing of Osasuna winger Victor Munoz for a fee believed to be around £34.5m, triggering his release clause. The Reds have also seen an opening offer worth roughly £87m for RB Leipzig midfielder Yan Diomande rejected, according to Sky Sports Germany, but are set to submit a new and improved bid. Diomande is a key target as Liverpool pursue a central midfielder, centre-back and right-back this summer.

Elsewhere, RB Leipzig have made contact with Everton over 23-year-old France Under-21 striker Thierno Barry, though Everton are yet to receive a formal offer. If a bid arrives, the club’s football leadership group will decide how to proceed. Tottenham are firmly in the mix to sign Anderlecht’s 17-year-old midfielder Nathan De Cat, with Manchester United among his other Premier League admirers.
