Arsenal have completed their third summer signing, announcing the £34m arrival of Greece international Christos Tzolis on a five-year contract.
The 23-year-old forward becomes Mikel Arteta’s latest acquisition, with the club moving swiftly in the transfer window despite an ongoing injury setback for centre-back William Saliba, who is expected to be sidelined for an extended period due to a recurring back problem.

Tzolis’s arrival was one of several developments across the Premier League on Thursday. At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea are in talks with Crystal Palace over Axel Disasi, with the Blues themselves pursuing Palace defender Maxence Lacroix. Meanwhile, Manchester United continue to be linked with Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga, and Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes remains the subject of speculation, though no official bids have been confirmed.
The summer window remains open until the end of August, and clubs are expected to accelerate their business as pre-season friendlies get under way. Tottenham, for instance, named a squad for their tour of New Zealand and Australia without goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, while new signing Archie Gray was included.
For now, Arsenal supporters will welcome the addition of Tzolis, who bolsters an attack already containing Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard. The Greece international’s five-year commitment suggests he is viewed as a long-term piece of Arteta’s project.
