Barack Obama is coming back to the UK this autumn, promising to speak about “what comes next for America” in a series of live interview shows across Belfast, Glasgow and Manchester.
The 64-year-old former US president, who served from 2009 to 2017 as America’s first and only Black president, will appear at The O2 in Belfast on 13 October, Glasgow’s Ovo Hydro on 14 October and Manchester’s Co-op Live on 15 October. The events, titled An Evening With President Barack Obama, follow sold-out shows at The O2 in London and Dublin’s Arena in 2025.

Organisers said Mr Obama will discuss “what comes next for America, and for all of us”. Guest moderators for the live interviews have yet to be announced.
Robin Sherry, founder and chief executive of organiser Seat Unique, said: “Following the phenomenal response to last year’s events, we are delighted to bring three new opportunities for fans to experience An Evening With President Barack Obama.”
During his previous London appearance in September 2025, Mr Obama was interviewed by British TV historian David Olusoga. In that talk, he lashed out at Donald Trump for “violence against the truth”, after the US president made unproven claims linking painkiller Tylenol to autism. “All of that is violence against the truth,” Mr Obama told a 14,000-strong audience, adding that such claims “undermine public health”.
Since leaving office, Mr Obama and his wife Michelle signed a deal with Netflix to produce documentaries and series under Higher Ground Productions. That deal has since ended, with Mr Obama saying they are “transitioning to a more independent [company] where we can work with a bunch of different studios”. He won an Emmy in 2022 for narrating the Netflix series Our Great National Parks, and Grammy Awards for audiobook readings of his memoirs The Audacity Of Hope and Dreams From My Father. He also co-hosted a 2021 podcast, Renegades: Born In The USA, with Bruce Springsteen.
Tickets for the three UK shows will go on sale on Friday 31 July at 10am from Myticket.co.uk and SeatUnique.com, with 100 tickets set aside for charitable organisations.
