A new daily football guessing game has launched on BBC Sport, challenging fans to identify a mystery World Cup star in as few attempts as possible.
The rules are simple: each day a new footballer is chosen, and players must guess who they are. After each wrong guess, a new clue is unlocked. The fewer clues used, the higher the score – three is considered good, while four or five points is exceptional.

Today's player and clues have been set by BBC Sport's Joe Rindl. The game was published just three hours ago, and participants can return for a fresh challenge tomorrow.
BBC Sport also offers a back catalogue of previous quizzes from each day of the World Cup, alongside other football and sports quizzes. Players can sign up for notifications to receive the latest quizzes directly to their device.
The launch comes as part of a wider collection of interactive content, including quizzes naming every nation at the 2026 Fifa World Cup, the 10 Lionesses with most England caps, top nations' leading scorers, and every club in the Premier League and EFL.
