The celebrity hair stylist who has worked with Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears is the fourth star confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing’s 2026 series. Chris Appleton said he “can’t wait to get started” after the BBC announced his place on the dance floor.

Appleton joins a line-up that already includes EastEnders actress Lacey Turner, who has played Stacey Slater since 2004, former Love Island contestant Dani Dyer – given a second chance after pulling out last year through injury – and Australian singer Delta Goodrem, a Eurovision finalist and former Neighbours actor.

“I am a huge fan and can’t quite believe I will be taking part and not watching at home this year!” Turner said in a statement. Dyer told fans: “I’m just over the moon and cannot wait to see everyone else that’s on it.” Goodrem said she was “thrilled” to add the ballroom to the stages she has performed on throughout her career.
