Kaleb Cooper, the breakout star of Clarkson’s Farm, married his long-term partner Taya Wilkinson on Saturday at Merriscourt, a 500-acre wedding venue outside Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, in a ceremony he had promised would be a “feral farm wedding” – with Jeremy Clarkson’s Hawkstone beer and cider on tap.
Cooper, 28, wore a suit paired with a yellow tie; his bride an off-the-shoulder dress holding a bouquet. The couple posed in front of a tractor – the farming machinery Cooper had always wanted at his wedding – and a £250,000 McLaren supercar.
“Kaleb Cooper married Taya Wilkinson at a 'feral farm wedding' with Jeremy Clarkson's Hawkstone beer on tap.”
“Such an amazing day yesterday celebrating our wedding!” Cooper wrote on Instagram. “We both had the most amazing day! Mr and Mrs Cooper.”
The groom had previously told The Daily Mail: “I want tractors there, I want foragers there, but Taya’s like, ‘I don’t really want tractors there if I’m being honest’, and I’m going, ‘You haven’t really got a choice!’”
Clarkson and his girlfriend Lisa Hogan were among the guests. Clarkson laid on an unlimited supply of his own Hawkstone beer and cider. “It’s just literally Hawkstone on tap,” Cooper had said of the reception plans. “You can imagine the kegs and instead of filling up your glass, you can just sit underneath the keg if you want. That’s the feral farm wedding we’re going to have.”
The couple have three children together – Oscar, five; Willa, three; and Ashton, who is not yet one. Cooper proposed to Taya on Christmas Day 2022, announcing on Instagram: “She said yes! 2022 has been an amazing year. This definitely tops it off.”
Cooper first appeared on Clarkson’s Farm in 2021, the Prime Video series that follows the former Top Gear host as he attempts to manage his Oxfordshire estate. Now the farm manager, Cooper has published a book, The World According to Kaleb, and had a prize named after him at the British Farming Awards. He told The Telegraph in 2024 that his fame had led to both men and women sending him unsolicited nude photos.
Just weeks before the wedding, Clarkson revealed on the latest season of Clarkson’s Farm that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer – “aggressive”, he said, but discovered early. “I’ve got cancer,” he told Cooper and land agent Charlie Ireland during harvest planning. Clarkson later announced he had gone into remission after an operation to remove part of his prostate. A sixth season of the show is due to air in 2027.
