Elton John serenaded Dua Lipa and Callum Turner with his classic ‘Your Song’ as the couple exchanged vows for a second time in a stunning ceremony at the historic Villa Valguarnera in Bagheria, east of Palermo. The wedding came six days after the pair’s legal do at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London, where they quietly tied the knot on Sunday.
The evening in Sicily was split into three moments: a ceremony in the courtyard, a dinner, followed by an outdoor DJ set by four huge names on the music scene. An amp system with diffusers was set up to limit sound waves travelling into the nearby town of Bagheria, according to reports.
“Dua Lipa and Callum Turner wed again in Palermo, with Elton John performing, six days after their London legal ceremony.”
Dua, 30, wore a backless dress while Callum, 36, opted for a beige suit and white shirt. The couple are staying in the Donna Franca Suite at the five-star Villa Igiea, described as the “crowning jewel” of the hotel, with a nightly rate of more than £6,000.
A-list guests including Charli XCX, George Daniel, and Mark Ronson flew in for the celebrations, which are said to have cost over £1 million. Antonio Rini, from Palermo Council’s tourism department, said: “For us, having Dua Lipa’s wedding here is a great honour, and the welcome they will receive will promote the city on the international stage.”
The couple kicked off their wedding weekend with a reception in a gorgeous Italian piazza the night before the ceremony, drawing hundreds of friends and family to the historic venue.
