Dua Lipa and Callum Turner party until dawn after £1.5m Sicilian wedding

Dua Lipa and Callum Turner’s £1.5m Sicilian wedding ended with a ten-minute firework display and a party that raged until 6am, as the couple and their 200 guests danced into the dawn. The pop star, 30, walked down the aisle in a diamond-encrusted gown before swapping into a backless dress for the reception in Palermo – a second wedding ceremony days after their legal nuptials at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London.

The weekend kicked off with a lavish reception in a gorgeous Italian piazza, where Dua wore the backless dress and Callum a beige suit. Their A-list guests included Charli XCX, George Daniel, and Mark Ronson. Sir Elton John, a friend of the bride, was reported to be among those who could perform. Dua, who is of Albanian heritage, ensured the wedding playlist featured Albanian music, with local dancers joining the celebration.

The couple first met in 2023 at London’s The River Café, introduced by owner Ruth Rogers. After a rushed first encounter, they bumped into each other a year later. Callum later revealed he knew Dua was “the one” when they realised they were reading the same book – Hernán Díaz’s Trust. “We sat next to each other and realised we were reading the same book, which is crazy,” he told Sunday Times Style. “It’s called Trust, and I had just finished the first chapter and I told her, and she looked at me and said, ‘I just finished the first chapter too.’”
