Singer Duffy will perform her first live concert in more than 15 years on 5 July in London.
The Welsh singer, 41, announced on Instagram that she will host a "secret intimate gig" and perform new songs. The event has a small capacity and will be balloted.
“Duffy announces first concert in 15 years after rape ordeal”
Born Aimée Anne Duffy, she rose to fame in 2008 with her debut album Rockferry, which sold nine million copies. The album spawned hits including Mercy, Warwick Avenue and Rain on Your Parade. She won three BRIT Awards, a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album and an Ivor Novello Award.
After releasing a second album and announcing a third, she vanished from public life in 2010. Almost a decade later, in 2020, she revealed in an Instagram post and a personal essay that she had been drugged, kidnapped and raped on her 26th birthday. She said she was held captive for weeks and left suicidal.
The singer said she initially told no one and did not report the ordeal to police immediately, though she later contacted officers on two separate occasions.
In March 2026, Disney+ announced a documentary about Duffy's life, giving her first in-depth interview about her ordeal.
The July concert will be her first public performance since she stepped away from the music industry.
