A fight between two England Under-16 players at a training camp in Turkey has been confirmed by the Football Association, which says the altercation was caused by an “internal matter” and was “quickly resolved”.
The scrap — captured on a mobile phone video lasting about a minute — erupted in a hotel room while the squad was based in Sedi for fixtures against Turkey, Wales and Portugal in late 2025. The clip, which circulated online, shows a boy wearing official England kit grabbing a phone from another player lying on a bed, sparking a violent struggle.

Punches and kicks are thrown as the pair grapple for the device, with the player who first attempted to take the phone trying to force the other into a headlock before dragging him across the room and hurling him to the floor. Several other youngsters can be seen filming and encouraging the fight.
An FA spokesperson said: “We were made aware of an internal matter during an Under-16s camp in October 2025. This was quickly resolved at the time.” The governing body added that the issue has been settled and no further action will be taken.
The Under-16s camp took place in October and November 2025, with the team facing Turkey, Wales and Portugal. The FA has not disclosed the precise nature of the “internal matter” that triggered the brawl, but insists the matter is closed.
