Three British men have pleaded guilty in connection with the death of a Canadian restaurant owner after a row over an unpaid bill, police said.

The development comes as four more men pleaded guilty to violent disorder following clashes between police and protesters in Southampton earlier this week. The demonstrations were held after the conviction of Vickrum Digwa for the murder of 18-year-old student Henry Nowak.

The treatment of Nowak’s death has triggered political rows, with Downing Street hitting out at those it said were “seeking to stir up division” after US Vice President JD Vance blamed the murder on mass migration.
