Katie Price has emotionally reunited with her husband Lee Andrews just days after his release from prison, jumping into his arms as he picked her up and hugged her outside a Dubai cinema on Sunday evening.
The beaming couple were pictured kissing, hugging and holding hands as they headed to Vox Dubai, an outdoor rooftop cinema, to catch a World Cup football game — a far cry from the crisis talks Price had previously threatened.
“Katie Price reunites with husband Lee Andrews in Dubai days after his release from Al-Awir prison.”
Andrews, the self-proclaimed 'billionaire businessman', spent the last month locked up in Dubai's notorious Al-Awir prison before being freed on Friday. He was initially detained on May 14 over what The Sun reported was a 'private civil matter' believed to be related to allegations of fraud, including a bounced cheque.
Price had previously claimed Andrews was 'kidnapped', but authorities later confirmed he was in jail. The former glamour model quickly jetted back to Dubai from the UK over the weekend to see him, after earlier travelling to the UAE in the hopes of securing his release — only to be told she would need to pay £140,000 bail, which she refused.
The Sun's Showbiz Editor Clemmie Moodie joined Price on that trip, during which Price admitted she had plenty of questions for her elusive husband. Earlier this month, Price said she would only divorce the suspected conman once she had questioned him herself: 'I cannot just walk away from my marriage without seeing him again.'
Upon their reunion, however, those questions appeared to wait as the couple got straight back to public displays of affection. Price confirmed her arrival in Dubai via Snapchat, sharing a selfie in front of the city's skyline.
Andrews initially claimed to Price that he had been arrested on suspicion of spying, but Dubai authorities later told The Sun this was not the case.
