Liverpool have made an enquiry for AS Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche, who is reportedly learning English and open to a Premier League move. The Reds tested the water with Ligue 1 side Monaco earlier in the transfer window as they scoured the market to replace Mohamed Salah, according to the Liverpool ECHO. Paris Saint-Germain, who have beaten Liverpool to RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande, have had three bids for Akliouche knocked back, the most recent understood to be in the region of £34m. Despite this, PSG remain frontrunners for the French international, who has 10 senior caps and featured in Didier Deschamps' World Cup squad. Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola has made it clear that signing a winger is a necessity this summer. 'There are obvious situations where we need to sign players. A winger for example, we definitely need to sign a winger,' Iraola said. Akliouche has registered 23 goals and 28 assists in 139 matches for Monaco. Meanwhile, BBC Sport has launched a daily 'Who am I?' quiz where fans guess a Premier League player from clues set by BBC Sport's Huzaifah Khan. The challenge is to identify the star in as few attempts as possible, with three a good score and four or five exceptional.
