Tottenham, meanwhile, are ready to test the water with a bid for Crystal Palace’s England midfielder Adam Wharton, 22, according to Teamtalk. The north London club are the latest to join the race for the former Blackburn man, who has impressed since his move to Selhurst Park.

Fulham have had a £17m bid rejected by Trabzonspor for 22-year-old Nigeria defender Chibuike Nwaiwu, Turkish outlet Fotomac reports. The Cottagers are among several Premier League sides active in the market.

Everton, Tottenham and newly promoted Ipswich are all looking to sign Levante’s 22-year-old Cameroon forward Karl Etta Eyong this summer, per Teamtalk. Celtic, after turning down £25m from Nottingham Forest for Arne Engels in January, are now open to offers for the 22-year-old Belgium midfielder, with Crystal Palace and Borussia Dortmund also interested, Football Insider says.

Leeds are interested in signing Southampton’s Northern Ireland midfielder Shea Charles, 22, valued at more than £20m, and are also eyeing a move for Germany forward Julian Brandt, 30, a free agent after leaving Borussia Dortmund, according to the Mail and Yorkshire Evening Post.

Wolves are keen on bringing Scotland striker Che Adams, 29, back from Torino, reports Tuttomercato.

Arsenal have entered the fray with a bid for Bradley Barcola, while Manchester United are pursuing a £130m double deal, the Standard reports. Chelsea also remain active. Tottenham have no plans to move for Mason Greenwood, with Roma currently short of Marseille’s asking price for the 24-year-old, the Mail says.

The flurry of activity comes as clubs scramble before the new season, with Liverpool facing a decision on whether to meet Leipzig’s £113m valuation or look elsewhere.
