£12m Lotto jackpot winner yet to come forward after Saturday draw

A lucky player matched all six numbers in Saturday night's National Lottery Lotto draw, winning the £12m 'Must Be Won' jackpot — but has not yet come forward to claim the prize.

The winning numbers were 8, 10, 26, 30, 35, 42, with a bonus ball of 50. The odds of hitting the jackpot were around one in 45,057,474, according to the National Lottery. In a statement on X, the National Lottery said: "No news as of yet."

Saturday's draw was a 'Must Be Won' draw, meaning the £12m prize was guaranteed to be paid out regardless of whether anyone matched all six numbers. Because a player did match all six, they won the full jackpot, unlike a 'rolldown' where the money is shared among other winners.

In the accompanying Thunderball draw, which offered a £500,000 top prize, no one matched all five numbers plus the Thunderball. However, three players won £5,000 each after matching five numbers without the Thunderball, while 20 players won £250 and 408 won £100. The winning Thunderball numbers were 6, 11, 25, 29, 37 and the Thunderball was 6.

The Lotto draw, which takes place every Saturday and Wednesday at 8pm, costs £2 per play. In addition to prize money, each draw raises around £30m each week for good causes across the UK.

The £12m winner may choose to remain anonymous after claiming the prize, as National Lottery winners are not required to go public. The National Lottery says winners are offered support and guidance after claiming large prizes, including financial and legal advice.
