A single ticket-holder is waking up a multi-millionaire this morning after matching all six numbers in Saturday night’s National Lottery Lotto draw, claiming the £9.2 million jackpot.
The winning numbers for Round 2 – the round that produced the top prize – were 12, 18, 40, 43, 44, 45 with a bonus ball of 29. In Round 1, the numbers were 22, 34, 41, 43, 54, 56 and the bonus was 24. The Thunderball draw, which took place shortly after, saw numbers 16, 22, 30, 31, 35 and a Thunderball of 12.
“A lucky ticket-holder has won £9.2 million in the National Lottery Lotto draw on Saturday, June 27.”
“What a night for Lotto players,” said Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery. “One lucky ticket holder has won a life-changing £9.2M ‘Must Be Won’ jackpot in Round 2 of tonight’s draw. This is exactly what the new Lotto is designed to do. It gives players more chances to win and creates more big, unforgettable moments like this.”
Carter added that the win takes the total number of Lotto millionaires created this year to 73. “Beyond the wins, every ticket helps raise around £33 million a week for projects that make a real difference in communities across the UK,” he said.
The jackpot wasn’t the only prize handed out. In the Lotto HotPicks, 11 players each won £6,500 after matching all four of their numbers. In the Thunderball, 20 people won £250 each for matching four main numbers and one Thunderball.
Attention now turns to Wednesday’s draw, where the estimated jackpot stands at £2 million after Saturday’s big win.
