Love Island star George Knight has revealed he left the villa due to family reasons, breaking his silence in an Instagram post on Friday.
ITV announced on Thursday that the professional footballer was leaving the show for 'private reasons'. In his Instagram post, Knight shared a photo with his sister Emma and their dog, writing: 'Family comes first, always. Leaving the @loveisland Villa was a decision made in order to be with my family. Out of respect for them, I’d prefer not to go into any further detail.'
“George Knight left Love Island due to family reasons and will do a tell-all interview on Harrison Solomon's Twitch stream.”
ITV said in a statement: 'For private reasons, George has left the Love Island Villa. We have a duty of care towards George and as such will not be commenting further.'
Knight, from Winchester, arrived in the villa on Tuesday alongside fellow bombshell Yasmin Hadlow. He still featured in Thursday and Friday night's episodes despite his departure.
The Sun reports that Knight will do a tell-all interview on Harrison Solomon's live Twitch stream. Solomon, a former Love Islander, messaged Knight on Instagram inviting him on. Knight replied: 'Hello mate appreciate the message big time. Yeah man, I'm down for that. Loads of stuff to talk.' Solomon added: 'We'll get George on the stream ASAP.'
