Nathan Ake is on the verge of leaving Manchester City for Fenerbahce, with the Turkish club confirming personal terms have been agreed with the Netherlands defender.
Fenerbahce are in talks with City over a £7m deal for the 31-year-old, though sources have told BBC Sport that details of the transfer are still being finalised. The move, expected to conclude shortly, could be worth up to £8.5m with add-ons.
“Nathan Ake set for Fenerbahce in £8.5m deal; Man Utd contact West Ham's Summerville.”
Ake, who made three appearances for the Netherlands in the 2026 World Cup before their elimination by Morocco in the last 32, joins a Fenerbahce side where presidential candidate Aziz Yildirim is keen to sign him. The defender moved to City from Bournemouth in 2020 for £40m and has made 177 appearances for the club, winning four Premier League titles, two FA Cups, two League Cups and the Champions League.
He was expected to be sold this summer with one year remaining on his contract, having had limited game time in Pep Guardiola's final season in charge. Ake made just 17 starts across all competitions last season, with six of them coming in the Premier League.
"The player, who wore the jersey in the 2026 Fifa World Cup, will join our team in the Austria camp following the permission process," Fenerbahce said.
As City prepare to lose Ake, Manchester United have accelerated their own transfer plans by making contact over Netherlands forward Crysencio Summerville. The Dutch star is in high demand after an impressive World Cup and West Ham's relegation.
