A search is under way for an 11-year-old boy who went missing after entering the River Don in South Yorkshire.
Police were called at 7.59pm on Saturday after the schoolboy was seen entering the water near Ferry Boat Lane in Mexborough but was not spotted getting out.
“Police are searching for an 11-year-old boy who went missing after entering the River Don in Mexborough, South Yorkshire, on Saturday evening.”
The National Police Air Service, South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, and Yorkshire Ambulance are involved in the search.

Divers are scouring the river as part of a huge search and rescue mission. The boy has not been seen since entering the water.
South Yorkshire Police have urged anyone with information to come forward.
