Nicola Peltz appeared to take a ‘swipe’ at the Beckham family in a cryptic Instagram post on Tuesday, deepening the rift between Brooklyn Beckham and his famous parents just days after he was left “fuming” by their Father’s Day messages.

The 29-year-old actress’s post came amid an escalating feud that erupted over the weekend when Sir David Beckham and Lady Victoria Beckham shared tributes online to mark the occasion. David posted an old picture of himself with Brooklyn as a child alongside a snap with all four of his children, while Victoria added an image of David with all their kids.

But those posts, intended to celebrate fatherhood, are said to have enraged the couple’s eldest son. A source told The Sun newspaper: “He’s fuming about it. He’s asked them to leave him alone and they just keep posting him. It just brings the whole thing up all over again. He wishes they’d leave it and leave him alone.”

Brooklyn, 26, has previously made it clear he wants no contact via social media. Reports suggest he sent a legal notice to his parents instructing them not to mention him on their platforms. In January, he went further, publishing a furious statement on Instagram branding their online tributes “performative”.

“For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family,” he wrote at the time. “The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into … Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they'll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.”

Despite that public rebuke, David and Victoria continued their tradition of Father’s Day tributes. David wrote: “Being a dad is my most important job … I love you all thank you mummy @victoriabeckham for giving me our beautiful family. Happy Father's Day to all the Dads around the world.” Victoria added: “David you truly are the best daddy. Your greatest achievement has always been our beautiful children and we love you so much. Happy Father’s Day.”

Now Nicola’s cryptic post – the contents of which were not disclosed – appears to have poured more fuel on the fire. With Brooklyn already at odds with his parents over their public declarations, the latest swipe suggests the family rift shows no sign of healing.
