A senior paramedic who once met Prince Harry and the former chief executive of a non-league football club are among 13 men charged alongside a husband accused of drugging and raping his wife over two decades.
The main defendant, a man in his sixties from Stockport, cannot be named to protect the identity of his wife. He has admitted 15 charges including five counts of rape, but denies drugging her for sex between 2004 and 2025 and conspiring with others to drug and rape her between 2018 and 2025.
“A paramedic and former football club boss are among 13 men charged over an alleged plot to drug and rape a man's unconscious wife.”
Jonathan Kirk, 43, a paramedic from Stockport who was photographed with Prince Harry in 2013, denies rape, conspiracy to rape, and conspiracy to assault by penetration. Karl Lindsay, 55, of Taunton, Somerset, the former chief executive of Taunton Town Football Club who stepped down in November 2025, denies the same three charges. His former club issued a statement confirming they have no association with him.
Keith Fotheringham, 59, from Dundee, is the only one of the co-accused to admit charges so far. He pleaded guilty in February to assault by penetration, conspiracy to rape, conspiracy to assault by penetration, and conspiracy to administer a substance with intent to stupefy or overpower. He will be sentenced at a later date.
The other defendants – ranging in age from 28 to 73 – have all entered not guilty pleas to various charges. They include David Graves, 59, of Ilkeston; Daniel Rayner, 42, of Whitstable; Graham Brougham, 73, of Northwich; Philip Wild, 58, of Stockport; Mohammed Sabir, 28, of Stockport; Sean Peers, 37, of Stockport; Jordan Wallace, 31, of Wythenshawe; Alan Keelan, 42, of Wythenshawe; Robert Stewart, 70, of Stockport; and Richard Townsend, 37, of Heywood.
The charges include rape, attempted rape, assault by penetration, sexual assault, and conspiracy to administer substances. Some defendants are not accused of contact offences but allegedly conspired to abuse the woman in other ways.
All 13 co-defendants will go on trial alongside the husband at Manchester Crown Court on September 1.
