Perrie Edwards cried through her wedding day – but not entirely from joy. The Little Mix star, who married footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in Portugal at the weekend, admitted she “cried all day” over wedding drama, according to an interview with Vogue.

Despite the tears, Edwards delivered a fashion spectacle, wearing three dresses across the celebrations. For the ceremony at the Igreja Matriz de Estoi church, close to the couple’s Algarve villa, she chose a Dana Harel lace gown that “couldn’t have been more perfect”. She later changed into a crystal‑embellished Galia Lahav dress for the first dance, before slipping into a third gown not described in the interview.

The wedding was attended by both of Edwards’s Little Mix bandmates – but only one stayed for the entire party. Jade Thirlwall watched the “I Dos” but left early into the evening, flying 335 miles to perform at the Primavera Sound festival in Porto. She still showed support by re‑sharing wedding images to her Instagram Stories with a love‑heart emoji. Leigh‑Anne Pinnock remained at the reception, and the newlyweds hit the dancefloor together. “We were absolutely going off to En Vogue… we still remembered all of our harmonies and the choreography!” Edwards told Vogue.

The couple, who started dating in 2017, share two children: daughter Alanis Valentine and son Axel, who had a special role in the ceremony. A source said: “Perrie and Alex’s wedding day could not have been more special. Perrie and Alex’s son Axel had a special role to play in the ceremony. It was adorable to see.” The Faro venue was transformed with fresh flowers and white linen, and the restaurant was closed for the event.

Edwards also used the Vogue interview to address her strained relationship with former bandmate Jesy Nelson, accusing her of not taking “accountability” and being “difficult” to work with. “You can only pick someone up so many f***ing times before you start losing track of your own sanity,” Edwards said, confirming she would not rekindle that friendship. The wedding, meanwhile, was a triumph – but the tears, it seems, were not all happy ones.
