Scott McTominay is spearheading Scotland’s first World Cup campaign in 28 years – and his partner, Cam Reading, has been dubbed the 'Queen of Italy' as she cheers him on from the stands.

The Napoli midfielder has been instrumental in guiding the Scots to the tournament, netting two goals and providing one assist as the nation topped their qualifying group to secure automatic passage. Now, with Morocco awaiting Friday night’s match, McTominay has a significant opportunity to steer his country into the knockout stages.

Alongside him every step of the way has been Reading, a popular social media personality who reportedly began life as a WAG in 2020, when the couple started dating. Their relationship remained under wraps until 2022, when Reading was first spotted in the stands at Old Trafford before McTominay made his blockbuster move to Italy.

Since then, she has become a fixture at his side, routinely sharing glimpses of their private getaways and occasions. Before the World Cup, Reading posted pictures of the couple’s break in Ibiza with friends, captioning the collection with emojis including a yacht, sun, dancing woman, bikini and whale. She turned heads in a series of beach-ready ensembles, including a cropped kaftan and a white two-piece set, showcasing her athletic physique both alone and alongside the Scotland international.

Reading was also present at the Gran Gala del Calcio awards, where McTominay claimed the top honour for his outstanding performances during the 2024/25 season. The 29-year-old scored 13 goals and provided six assists in Napoli’s push for the Serie A title, registering 18 goal contributions overall as the club clinched the Italian Super Cup. At the ceremony, he was named in the best starting XI and awarded Player of the Year for the entire league.

Reading shared snaps of the occasion and paid tribute to her partner on Instagram, writing: "Gran Gala del Calcio. Scott walked away with two awards, and I walked away even prouder of the man he is... dedicated, hardworking and always striving for more. Ti amo."
