Tesco cuts Samsung TV prices as England and Scotland World Cup campaigns begin

England and Scotland have kicked off their World Cup campaigns in the USA, and Tesco has slashed prices on a range of 4K Samsung TVs to help fans catch the action in style. The supermarket is knocking £30 off the 43-inch Samsung Crystal UHD 4K LED Smart TV from its 2025 Crystal UHD series, on sale until August 31. The set features a Crystal Processor for enhanced 4K picture with 'true-to-life' colour and High Dynamic Range for greater depth and detail. Tesco customers have given it a 4.2-star rating, with one reviewer calling it: 'The resolution is fantastic, the sound is the same, and the usability of the TV settings is easy and straightforward.' Some have criticised Samsung's user interface as 'messy', but another five-star review said: 'The picture quality is excellent, the setup was very easy, and the smart features work perfectly. Fantastic value for money.'

For those wanting a larger screen, the 75-inch Samsung Q7F 4K QLED Smart TV is £40 off until July 13, undercutting Samsung's own £899 price. A smaller 50-inch version has been reduced to £355 (was £369). This 2025 TV uses an AI Processor to optimise picture and sound, with Quantum Dot technology for lifelike images and boosted brightness, plus a 4K upscaler for smoother motion. Tesco shoppers have not yet rated this model.

England now face a crucial World Cup grudge match against Croatia, who have 'dished out enough hurt to England over the years'. The game is expected to have Sam Matterface as lead commentator, with Lee Dixon on co-commentary.
