Nathan Ake's six-year stint at Manchester City came to an end on Saturday as the Netherlands defender completed a move to Fenerbahce for a fee that could reach £8.5m. The Turkish club paid around £7m up front, with add-ons potentially increasing the total. Ake, 31, leaves having won four Premier League titles, two FA Cups, two League Cups and the Champions League. 'It's been a privilege to represent Manchester City over the past six years,' he said, adding that he will 'always cherish the memories, particularly of winning the Treble.' He made just six Premier League starts in Pep Guardiola's final season, and with one year left on his contract, his departure was expected.
Meanwhile, promoted Hull City made goalkeeper Jack Butland their first signing of the summer, bringing the 33-year-old from Rangers on a two-year deal with an option for a further 12 months. The fee was undisclosed. Butland, a nine-time England international, played every minute of Rangers' 2025-26 Scottish Premiership campaign and made 157 appearances for the club across three seasons. 'I'm delighted it's all sorted now and I'm really excited to be here,' Butland said. 'The Premier League is the best league in the world and, personally, it's a great opportunity to be on the biggest stage again.' Hull secured promotion by beating Middlesbrough in the Championship play-off final in May.

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen is on the verge of moving to Ajax on a season-long loan, according to Sky Germany. Newcastle have launched a move for Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller, who reportedly has a €36.5m release clause.
Arsenal and Manchester United face a twist in their pursuit of Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, after Tottenham spent £185m to sign Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes. The Gunners have held talks over a move for Bouaddi, but any deal has become trickier to complete.
