Arsenal consider audacious Julian Alvarez swap as Man Utd target triple deal - transfer window heats up

The summer transfer window is entering full swing, with Arsenal understood to be considering an audacious swap deal to bring Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez to the Emirates Stadium. The Argentina international faced England in the World Cup semi-final – a match that left many Premier League fans heartbroken – but could soon be lining up for a Premier League rival. Meanwhile, Bradley Barcola continues to be linked with a move to the English top flight.

Manchester United are also beginning to flex their financial muscle, targeting a triple deal this summer. However, the future of one of their own stars, Marcus Rashford, has taken a new twist. According to The Athletic, a £40m exit clause in Rashford’s contract expired on 15 July – a clause that excluded Manchester City and Liverpool. The England international spent last season on loan at Barcelona and had been expected to join the La Liga side permanently for £26m, but Hansi Flick’s club instead opted to sign Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon. Rashford, who helped England reach the World Cup semi-final, is now set to return to Old Trafford later this summer, having turned down more lucrative offers than his current deal.

Elsewhere, a Liverpool star is reported to be on the verge of signing a new contract. With only two World Cup matches remaining, the transfer market is heating up. Arsenal and Manchester United are among the clubs driving activity, as fans look for a boost after England’s semi-final exit.
