Donald Trump made more than $1bn from cryptocurrency in his first year back in the White House, according to a 927-page financial disclosure report released by the US Office of Government Ethics. The document, which runs to nearly 1,000 pages, dwarfs Vice-President JD Vance's 17-page submission and eclipses Joe Biden's final 11-page disclosure for 2024.
Beyond crypto, the president’s signature on merchandise proved lucrative. His coffee-table book, Save America, generated $1.8m. The Trump-embossed Bible brought in $208,000, while branded trainers and fragrances – including the Victory 47 perfume for women, which retails for $249 a bottle – netted $67,000. Maga musicians added around $36,000 by buying the “American Eagle” limited edition guitar.

America’s First Lady also tapped her brand. Melania Trump made $10.7m from her eponymous documentary, produced by Amazon for $40m. She was credited as producer and subject; the film generated $7m at the 2025 box office. She added $6m from the sale of non-fungible tokens and $520,000 from her book, Melania.
Trump’s disclosure revealed 21,285 share trades during 2025 involving a huge number of companies. One was Nvidia, the chip giant that last October became the first publicly-traded firm valued at $5tn. Last summer, Nvidia agreed with the White House to invest billions in making its chips in the US, sending its share price soaring. Then in August, the Trump administration said Nvidia had agreed to pay 15% of revenue generated from selling one of its AI chips to China. Later that month, investors acting on behalf of Trump purchased between $5m … the report noted.
