Thirty years after Born Slippy became the anthem of a generation through Danny Boyle’s Trainspotting, Underworld will bring their dance anthem back to Edinburgh as headliners of this year’s Hogmanay In The Gardens. The set will include a special performance of Born Slippy (Nuxx), the 1996 hit that is synonymous with the city after appearing in the film adaptation of Irvine Welsh’s novel. The iconic dance act will take to the stage in the capital on 31 December, closing a year that has seen the band’s legacy endure across club culture and cinema alike.
