Arsenal have made Aston Villa and England midfielder Morgan Rogers their top attacking target and are expected to make an approach, with the 23-year-old potentially costing more than £100m, according to Sky Sports. The move comes as Manchester United completed the signing of another Villa midfielder, Youri Tielemans, for £35m on a five-year deal.
United triggered a release clause for the 29-year-old Belgium international, who has spent the past three seasons at Villa Park. “It’s hard to describe just how proud I am to join Manchester United,” Tielemans said. “Signing for such a special club feels incredible. It is the culmination of years of dedication since I first fell in love with football.”

United’s director of football Jason Wilcox said: “Youri has consistently been one of the most outstanding midfielders in the Premier League throughout the past seven years. He has all of the technical qualities, as well as the ambition and mentality, to thrive at Manchester United.” Tielemans will wear the number 18 shirt vacated by Casemiro, whose contract expired at the end of the season.
Arsenal, meanwhile, have already agreed personal terms with Christos Tzolis as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of a Premier League title defence, according to the Mirror. The north London side have also been credited with interest in Villa defender Ezri Konsa.
Elsewhere, Liverpool legend Mohamed Salah is set to continue his career in Turkey, with the 34-year-old Egypt forward poised to sign for Besiktas, per Foot Mercato. Besiktas have already signed Leandro Trossard earlier this month. Manchester United are also looking at Nottingham Forest wing-back Neco Williams, while Tottenham have rejected a £46m bid from Newcastle for Lucas Bergvall.
United have already bolstered their midfield with Andrey Santos and Tielemans, but are reportedly interested in Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Larsson. Meanwhile, Chelsea will have to spend £55m if they want Crystal Palace defender Maxence Lacroix, and Juventus have offered £5.5m for Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, though Villa want £10.2m.
